Privacy and legal

Octopus Scanner and this website use the third-party components listed below, each under the licence shown. The THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt file distributed with the application also contains the licence texts for its bundled packages.

Components you update in the app. Dependencies, the axe-core engine and the Node.js runtime that you update from within Octopus Scanner come from their publishers under their own licences, which may differ from those listed below. This page covers only the components shipped with Octopus Scanner, so please check the licence of any component you update.

Not included. Octopus Scanner does not include a browser. It uses the copy of Google Chrome installed on your computer, which Google provides under its own terms. On Windows, the interface is shown with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which Microsoft provides under its own terms. It is not included in the download, but if it is missing, Setup runs Microsoft's installer to download it.
